From humble beginnings in a small office in Fitzroy to our current 9,000m2 purpose-built facility in Epping, Melbourne – Signature Floors has evolved significantly over the past thirty years. In fact, our story began in 1989 when Bill O’Halloran, after spending his entire career in the flooring industry, decided to start his own company. Subsequently, trading began under the name New Floor Distributors which later changed to Signature Floors. The core beliefs instilled by Bill make Signature the forward-thinking company it is today. These include constant innovation, never restricting the imagination and always loving our products. This translates today to multiple flooring products across categories like commercial custom carpet, vinyl floor tiles and planks, sheet vinyl flooring rolls and modular carpet tile collections. But that’s not all. We also offer our customers residential flooring choices like hybrid planks, engineered timber, laminate floors and residential carpets.

Fifty-three years after Bill began his career at MNA Floors, he decided to retire from the flooring industry. Today, Signature is led by Bill’s son Anthony O’Halloran and son-in-law, Robert Herten. In fact, the duo took over in 2008, after being mentored by Bill for over 14 years. Our success could be attributed to our extensive worldwide travel. As a result, we’re able to stay updated with current and upcoming trends as well as technological advances. In fact, the combination of places visited and the relationships built globally makes Signature the company it is today. With a commitment to creating great spaces, the team at Signature believe good design emerges from understanding our customer’s needs and the incredible possibilities of a project. Through this understanding, Signature seeks to inspire and challenge the perceptions of what flooring can achieve. The company is, undoubtedly, one of Australia’s largest floor distributors launching new flooring products consistently.
